grapefruit

1. All set?
2. Thoroughly wash grapefruit, then remove peel in large strips using a vegetable peeler. Take care not to cut into the pith. Save grapefruit for another use.
3. Add water, sugar, and grapefruit peels to a small saucepan set over medium heat. Cook until the sugar dissolves, then cut the heat. Let cool completely then discard grapefruit peels.
